There’s something about wearing perfume that feels so personal. It’s invisible, but powerful—it’s the final touch before heading out, the thing that makes you feel put together even on days when your hair’s not cooperating. And if you’re Filipino, chances are you grew up loving scents. Maybe it’s your lola’s signature floral cologne or that body spray everyone wore back in high school (we all had one).
But as much as we love smelling good, finding a fragrance that feels premium without the premium price can be tricky. Luxury perfumes can easily cost thousands, which is why these Filipino fragrance brands are worth celebrating. These scents feel high quality, and you can enjoy them without the guilt of splurging too much.
Here are some proudly local brands that prove you can smell expensive without actually spending it.
1. Tadhana Fragrances (PHP 900)
If perfume, to you, is more than just scent, and more of a storytelling, then Tadhana Fragrances by Filipina perfumer Shale Albao will hit the spot. This modern Filipino fragrance house combines French perfumery techniques with Filipino and regional ingredients like calamansi, dalandan, mango, muscovado, and Davao coffee. (Yes, calamansi! Who knew our pantry staple could smell this chic?)
Prices start at PHP 900, and every bottle feels artful and intentional. One standout is Innocent, a floral perfume inspired by the tenderness of a first kiss. It opens with calamansi and lavender, softens with violet and gardenia, and finishes with warm musk–delicate, lingering, and full of emotion. Then there’s Scandalous and Rockstar, both bolder and moodier, perfect for nights when you want to make an impression.
This is the kind of perfume that doesn’t just smell good. It says something about who you are.
2. Lucky Beauty (PHP 777)
When actress Andrea Brillantes launched Lucky Beauty, we expected fun, accessible makeup, and now, fragrances too. Her Lucky Potions collection feels like a love letter to different stages of womanhood, from youthful curiosity to confidence.
Each 50ML perfume costs PHP 777, and the names are as charming as their stories. There’s Stories for a Girl, bright and hopeful with its citrusy notes (think sunshine and laughter in a bottle); Diary of a Lady, intimate and mature (a mix of sweet fruit notes and amber and wood) for when you’re feeling reflective; and Letters from a Woman, elegant and romantic (citrus and floral notes), like soft words written on a rainy afternoon.
These are scents that make you feel feminine and confident without trying too hard, like your favorite tinted lip balm, but in perfume form.
3. Bare Essentials Manila (PHP 499)
If you love scents that feel nostalgic and intimate, Bare Essentials is right up your alley. The brand started in 2016 making candles and has since grown into a line of handcrafted home and personal care products—all made with pure essential oils (no harsh chemicals here) and designed to awaken emotion and memory.
Each 50ML Eau de Parfum costs only PHP 499, Everything is made in an FDA-approved facility, beautifully boxed, and long-lasting enough to stay with you all day.
Their scents range from fresh to sweet to musky. There’s No. 11, which smells like a morning stroll through a garden: green, fresh, and serene. No. 12 has delicate blossoms with fruity notes and a touch of honey (perfect for date nights), while No. 13 leans sweet and powdery, with a comforting vanilla base that feels like a hug. There are honestly more scents to choose from, which you can wear every day or even layer together. And at this price point, why not?
4. GP Fragrances (PHP 1,490)
If you’re into niche-quality perfumes but don’t want to spend international-brand money, GP Fragrances is a must-try. Founded by Greg Parilla and it’s a proudly Filipino brand that works with local perfumers to create world-class scents inspired by culture, nature, and memory.
Each 50ml Eau de Parfum costs around PHP 1,490 (sale price), but the experience feels far more luxurious.
Leading the Dreamer Collection is Vieux Papier, the brand’s premier fragrance. Crafted by perfumer Renato Lopena Jr., it’s inspired by “quiet luxury” and the elegance of old paper. With notes of bergamot, rosemary, lavender, and a grounding base of Philippine vetiver and suede, it’s effortlessly refined.
From the Elements Collection, Banaue Bliss celebrates the cool serenity of the Cordilleras. Created by Gib Ang of ORCA Parfums, it captures the scent of mountain air and rice terraces at sunrise, blending citrus, bamboo, and green tea over a woody-musky base. It’s fresh, grounded, and quietly majestic.
Each scent feels intentional and deeply Filipino, yet refined enough to compete with international niche brands.
Luxury and comfort in scents
Luxury doesn’t always come with a hefty price tag. Sometimes, it comes from the hands of Filipino perfumers who pour heart, craft, and memory into every bottle. And maybe that’s the best part: our scents, like us, are layered: a mix of memory, warmth, and personality that lingers long after we’ve left the room.
