Inspired by Allure’s global pledge, we’ve adopted strict guidelines around the language we use and the stories we tell. We avoid vague, misleading terms like “recyclable,” “biodegradable,” or “Earth-friendly” unless they are backed by science and specific to context. For example, most plastic packaging labeled “recyclable” never actually gets recycled, and calling any product “Earth-friendly” implies an impact-free existence—which simply isn’t possible.
We also don’t use “green” unless we’re talking about the actual color. Because sustainability deserves more than feel-good marketing—it deserves truth.
We hold ourselves, and the industry, to a higher standard—one rooted in transparency, responsibility, and respect for the environment we all share.
