For years, the world has been fascinated by South Korean culture—and we’re not just talking about K-dramas and food. With the global rise of K-pop, idols have become known as much for their beauty looks as their chart-topping music, helping fuel trends that continue to influence consumers and brands worldwide.
Locals, however, have long kept one beauty secret to cleanse their skin after a long day outdoors—until now, that is. Known and awarded for its deep-cleaning yet gentle formulation, the Pond’s K-BeautyK-BeautyKorean beauty, known for layered routines, gentle formulas, and innovative textures such as essences, sheet masks, and cushion compacts. In bringing the range to the Philippines, Pond’s says it considered the differences between Korean and Philippine climates, including the country’s year-round heat and humidity, while focusing on skin care needs shared across both markets. “Cleansing is also the foundation of any skin care routine,” says Pond’s Philippines content lead Steph Macapagal. “While our current range offers solutions for everyday cleansing and skin concerns, the Pond’s K-BeautyK-BeautyKorean beauty, known for layered routines, gentle formulas, and innovative textures such as essences, sheet masks, and cushion compacts. three parts, each with its own distinctive textures and uses. The Pond’s Lip and Eye Makeup Remover features a unique 1:1 oil-to-water ratio that promises to give the skin a deep, hydrating cleanse. “The oil phase helps dissolve stubborn waterproof makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum, while the water essence helps refresh and moisturize the skin in one swipe,” Macapagal explains. The product is also described as using a blend of pine leaf extract and the brand’s Bio Spa Complex that further hydrate the skin’s surface.
Next, the Pond’s Cleansing Oil is a gentle and hydrating cleanser that uses three plant-based oils to cleanse and lift skin impurities without leaving skin feeling stripped, resulting in a soft, lightweight, non-greasy after-feel. In rounding off the routine, Pond’s makes sure to address the misconception that such products often leave a dry finish on the skin.

“The Pond’s 2-in-1 Pore Tightening Knot Cleanser is formulated with PlumpPep Technology, a 5-peptide complex that can be used like your usual cleanser or as a 1-minute mask to help address everyday skin concerns while improving skin elasticity and firmness without it feeling dry.”
According to Macapagal, the Pond’s K-Beauty Cleansers are said to go beyond removing makeup, sunscreen, excess oil, and the buildup from the day. And while the range takes inspiration from Korean skin care rituals, the three variants ultimately offers Filipinas another way to gently cleanse their skin without losing sight of hydration.
