Watch Katseye Try To Guess What These Filipino Words Mean
In the first part of this special, exclusive series with Katseye, watch Sophia Laforteza give her fellow Katseye members a crash course in speaking Filipino.

Admit it: have you ever tried to teach a foreigner a word or two of Filipino? For us Filipinos, Pinoy pride is a deeply intrinsic trait—practically embedded into our hearts and minds. And anytime we can share a little of our culture with others, we grab the chance—even when it comes to our native language.
In fact, the plain truth is that you’d be hard-pressed to find a Filipino who has come in contact with a foreigner…and hasn’t tried to teach them a word of two of our Filipino language. It’s an extremely common social experiment that mixes Pinoy pride, a deep need to share our culture and identity, our natural warmth and hospitality, and—let’s face it—a wicked sense of humor.
And it looks like Sophia Laforteza, member and leader of global girl group Katseye is no different! In Part 1 of this very special, exclusive video series with Katseye, watch Sophia quiz Lara, Megan, Daniela, and Yoonchae on what certain Pinoy words mean. Kabog ba?
