One Ayala Launches The Stacks University, Transforming Its Reading Hub into a Free Learning Destination
MANILA, Philippines — One Ayala invites readers, creatives, and lifelong learners to discover The Stacks University, a free four-week learning series that transforms its beloved reading hub into a space for inspiring conversations and creative exchange.
Running every Saturday from July 18 to August 8 at The Stacks, Level 4, One Ayala, the initiative is presented in partnership with Fully Booked, Penguin Random House, and 8Letters. The program brings together respected authors, illustrators, editors, and creators for talks on storytelling, publishing, comics, psychology, personal branding, and digital content creation.
The Stacks University builds on the success of The Stacks, introduced earlier this year as part of Ayala Malls’ Our Common Place, an evolving platform that reimagines the mall as more than a destination for shopping. Now, the space becomes a venue where stories are no longer just read, but shared by the people who create them.

The series opens on July 18 with psychologist and author Carl Cervantes, followed by editor Bambi Eloriaga-Amago. On July 25, author M. C. Tolfo explores immersive storytelling, while August 1 features illustrator Jomike Tejido, content creator Solene Dream, and author Gerald Esmailzadeh discussing graphic novels, Instagram marketing, and author branding. The program concludes on August 8 with illustrator and comic creator Tori Tadiar, who will share the fundamentals of world-building and comic creation.
“Our Common Place reflects Ayala Malls’ commitment to creating spaces that add value to everyday life. The response to The Stacks showed us that people are looking for more than a place to pause, but also for opportunities to discover, connect, and grow. The Stacks University is our way of building on that, bringing learning and creativity into an everyday setting,” said Jorelle Balitbit, Cluster Marketing Lead – Makati.
Each session is limited to 30 participants to encourage an engaging and interactive experience. Registered attendees will receive a special giveaway, while walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.
