After exploring the five senses at The Senses Tour at the Allure Beauty Lab, guests arrived at one final destination: the Allure Beauty Shop. Instead of the traditional retail space, the interactive area brought the event’s philosophy full circle, inviting guests to continue their beauty discovery through a curated selection of products. Before browsing, guests rolled a life-sized die, with each number unlocking a different selection of beauty finds to take home, adding an element of surprise that made every beauty experience uniquely their own.

“Traditionally, beauty retail begins with products on shelves. Our Allure Beauty Shop flips that journey,” says Allure Philippines editor-in-chief Rissa Mananquil Trillo. “Guests first explore the Beauty Lab and The Senses Tour—immersive experiences designed to help them see, touch, smell, hear, and experience beauty before arriving at the shop itself. By the time they reach the Allure Beauty Shop, they’re no longer choosing products based solely on packaging or hype. They’re making more informed decisions shaped by experience.”

The curated selection reflected the diversity of beauty products shaping the local industry, spotlighting products developed with Filipino consumers in mind. Guests discovered base products from UpMake, a newly launched Filipino brand featuring 20 shades of Tone ID™ All Day Lightweight Powder Foundation, thoughtfully created for Filipino skin tones and undertones: fair-light, medium, tan, and deep. Developed with COSMAX, one of South Korea’s biggest cosmetics manufacturers, the versatile formula can be worn as either a light-coverage or full-coverage foundation, depending on application.

For many guests, the Allure Beauty Shop became more than a place to browse products; it was an opportunity to revisit discoveries made throughout the Beauty Lab with greater context and confidence. “This reflects how we approach beauty journalism at Allure. We believe discovery should come before purchase, and understanding should come before influence,” says Mananquil Trillo. “Beauty journalism should empower consumers, not pressure them. Our role is to provide context, not just content.”
