For designer Wisharawish Akarasantisook, his Thai heritage is a starting point for experimentation. Through his eponymous label, Wisharawish, he draws on Thailand’s textile traditions, cultural references, and craftsmanship as he reworks them into contemporary silhouettes.

And his Fashion Week Asia 2026 showing, Wisharawish presented Salade de Fruits—in English, fruit salad. Akarasantisook wanted to bring that experimentation into a variety of workwear, sport motifs, pyjamas—basically “a lot of mixing” that encompasses his diverse audience, and the audience he hopes to touch on the global stage.

In unison with the pieces, the beauty looks, created by lead makeup artist Gery Penaso under MAC Cosmetics and hairstylists from Cream Silk, took more of a graphic route. “We wanted to show the diversity of [each model],” Akarasantisook said in an exclusive interview with Allure Philippines.  Models wore dramatic, blocky, intricate liner painted on the lids, paired with laid back, skin-first technique to focus on the the natural freshness as light reflects on their faces. Hair was also where the “fruit salad” really showed. Some models wore their hair messy and natural, left to do its own thing; while male models went the opposite way with a slicked back, high-shine style, one reminiscent of the 90s runway minimalism.

Originally from Buriram in northeastern Thailand, Akarasantisook continues to approach his work through continuous exploration of materials and form, one that was made evident by the rich array of textures and patterns, beautifully in unison with his model’s edge strutting down the runway at the Palacio de Memoria.

The complexion stays sheer and satin, with just enough coverage to even out the skin and, as Akarasantisook says, to “bring the freshness, and the light on their faces.” The focal point is a stark black liner, drawn into a wing or a sharp graphic sweep along the crease. Clean, geometric, and unapologetically bold, the eye look brings a striking edge to an otherwise pared-back complexion.

The muted, rosy hue and high-shine finish brought a little softness to the mix of bold liner and contrasting styles. It grounded the more experimental looks without taking away their edge.
