We love Halloween at Allure Philippines. We live for the moodboarding, the sourcing process, getting ready, and the pure thrill of bringing our wildest visions to life. It’s also the one night of the year when you can go all out and live your kookiest fantasy look, whether you’re dressing as a villain, a cave woman, a 1920s robot, or an ethereal angel—or simply painting yourself green. We don’t judge.
Last night, the city’s most stylish showed up en masse for The New Nocturnals party, making it one of the most star-studded Halloween events of the season. Hosted by celebrity Mond Gutierrez and event specialist Ash Rye at The Peninsula Manila, this year’s theme, “Silver Screen: The Director’s Cut,” invited guests to reinterpret cinema throughout the years. Beyond basic costumes, the attendees came in couture-esque costumes, Hollywood-inspired ensembles, and above all, unforgettable beauty looks.
Below, Allure Philippines breaks down the 18 looks that caught our attention.
Bea Milan-Windorski as Joan of Arc
The beauty queen’s haunting tribute to the Maid of Orléans featured a stark, ghostly complexion and hollow-esque eye makeup, rounded off with a striking, blood-red lip.
Kyline Alcantara as The Metropolis Robot
The Robot Maria has transformed into a blondie, with electric blue shadow and a sharp pink under-eye accent, courtesy of artist Kyline Alcantara.
Michelle Dee as Cruella de Vil
Cruella dee Vil, if you will. The beauty queen is a gorgeous devil in disguise with two-toned hair and high-glam red lips.
Lovi Poe as Pennywise
Hiya, Lovi. The actress’ Halloween look is a masterclass in clown glam—trading the usual face paint with red rhinestones to trace a kooky smile.
Andrea Brillantes as Charlie Chaplin
Charlie Chaplin gets a trendy makeover as actress Andrea Brillantes puts her own take on the classic mustache.
Shewarma as Rose from Titanic
Draw me like one of your French girls, but with streaks of gray-blue eyeshadow falling like tears down drag queen Shewarma’s face.
Francine Diaz as the Mad Hatter
With purple and pink gradient eyeshadow set off by whitish-blue mascara, madness has never looked this vibrant on celebrity Francine Diaz.
Viñas Deluxe as Mariah Carey
All I want for Christmas is a good Halloween costume. Drag queen Viñas Deluxe channels her inner Mariah Carey with this Mother Lamb-inspired look.
Jason Dy as Avatar’s Jake Sully
Singer Jason Dy is taking us to a whole new dimension as he channels an otherworldly Na’vi glam head-to-toe.
Maris Racal as 2014 Rihanna
She can beat me, but she cannot beat my 2014 Rihanna-inspired bronzy and sultry glam.
EJ Nacion as Rachel Tensions
Pure, unadulterated queer camp. EJ Nacion delivers in a blonde updo and matching cut creaseCut CreaseA cut crease is an eye makeup technique creating a sharply defined line between the eyelid and crease through contrasting color or concealer, rather than a soft, blended transition. TheGo to Cut Crease Glossary drag a la RuPaul, inspired by To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar.
Kylie Celebre as Frankenstein’s Bride
Trust in Kylie Celebre to serve this Halloween. Ghoulish, gorgeous, glamorous—a sky-high updo, dead-pale complexion, and deep smoky eyes make for a truly elevated bride.
Mond Gutierrez as Lestat from Interview with the Vampire
Fangs optional, but the sultry is mandatory. Take Mond Gutierrez for example, with his bloodshot eyes, killer contours, and high-glam drama strictly for after dark.
Christina Nadin as a cavewoman
No need to embark on kookiness, either. Keep it sexy and ethereal with a soft, bronzed angelic glam a la Christina Nadin.
MJ Lastimosa as Elvira from Elvira, Mistress of the Dark
The beauty queen MJ Lastimosa reigns supreme as the queen of Halloween, with her head crowned with a towering, pitch-black beehive.
Ry Velasco as Medusa
Bronzed skin, soft waves, and a hypnotic scatter of rhinestones—internet personality Ry Velasco is a modern Medusa who leaves you spellbound.
Bubbles Paraiso as Wonder Woman
The Lasso of Truth doesn’t lie: actress Bubbles Paraiso is gorgeous with this soft glam.
Niana Guerrero as Cheng Dieyi from Farewell, My Concubine
Dancer and artist Niana Guerrero’s halloween look is a masterclass in dramatic Peking Opera glam with this vivid, crimson-blended eyeshadow and painted brows.
