Surely we’ve all noticed it by now. A lot of the hair care products we see on the market today, and even the tonal shift in how brands market them, are quietly moving away from the camera-perfect, flyaway-free updos that many women once aspired to. Since then, modern hair care has become reflective of the personal and realistic challenges that many women face in their daily lifestyles.

But at the end of the day, walking out of the salon with that voluminous and freshly styled look brings out a different kind of confidence that everyday routines just can’t give. And sure, we’ve seen products claim salon-grade qualities and efficacies for years, but when tried and tested, they still just don’t cut it. With the current state of hair care today, it now leaves us with a question: “How can you achieve volumized hair that lasts?”

This July 4 and 5, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Cream Silk partners with Allure Philippines to answer that very question. In showcasing what it means to have voluminous and bouncy hair without compromising hydration, this two-day event brings the experts out of the salon and onto the stage. Pegged as the Cream Silk Pro-Collective Shape Series Masterclass, the Concourse Hall in One Ayala, Makati will become a platform for insightful discussions and interactive product engagements designed for the modern Filipina.

The event’s masterclasses will be split into two parts, each highlighting the science and well-practiced methods that make achieving your desired hair shape possible at home. On Day 1, members of Cream Silk’s Brand and Research and Development teams will break down the biology and physics behind flat, stubborn hair. Hairstylist Valerie Corpuz, alongside beauty and lifestyle creator Bella Racelis, will later demonstrate a selection of at-home solutions on stage, all while sharing their stories on how such challenges have affected their on-the-go lifestyles.

Day 2, however, takes a deep dive into this year’s popular hairstyling trends. Opening with a live demonstration led by Cream Silk’s resident hair experts, they explain the science of how blowout hairstyles can affect one’s lasting hair health and care routines. Later on, hairstylist Renz Pangilinan and drag performer Marina Summers will then take the stage to showcase a variety of attainable yet volumized hairstyles that are capable of holding their shape throughout the day. Both days will also open the floor for question-and-answer segments, giving guests an opportunity to share their hair-related concerns and hear advice from the experts themselves.

Throughout the event, attendees will also be able to learn a deeper understanding of their hair through guided quizzes and sample demonstrations. Additionally, guests will have an opportunity to try Cream Silk’s Hydration and Volume Salon Renewal Mask for themselves via educational styling sessions that show how they can attain their desired hair shape every day.

Expressing the natural beauty of our hair has always been ingrained in Philippine culture. And while maintaining that newly styled hairdo can often be cumbersome in our humid weather, sharing a moment with the professionals who thrive in that same challenge may just lead to the solution you never knew you needed.
