Kilomet109 Brings Barely-There Beauty to Fashion Week Asia
At Vietnamese designer Thao Vu’s show, translucent skin, warm tones, and anti-blush keep the beauty looks as natural as the handwoven textiles.

At Fashion Week Asia 2026 at Palacio de Memoria, Kilomet109 showcased its Quyên Collection, which put Vietnamese craftsmanship front and center. Founded by designer Thảo Vũ, the sustainable fashion house works with artisan communities across Vietnam, turning generations of indigenous tradition into modern design.
The beauty looks followed that same idea. Lead makeup artist Gery Penaso for MAC Cosmetics kept skin natural and glowing, with warm tones, translucent finishes, and a light-handed wash of color—as if there was nothing there. Cream Silk’s slew of hairstylists finished the looks with healthy-looking, natural, and texturized hair.
“For the beauty looks, we combined the natural, very nude, and healthy-looking glow [of the skin] to bring out the colors of the natural dyes from the fabrics we used,” Vũ tells Allure Philippines.
The result was a union of art—both original and artistic.

No product, no heat. The hair at Kilomet109’s show was left to look like itself: healthy, glossy, and styled as is—just the way it frames the model’s face. Think skin that looks like skin, only better-rested with a hint of shine. For this look, the coverage stayed sheer enough to let the skin peek through, with a natural glow instead of a heavy matte base. From afar, it looked like they weren’t wearing makeup at all.

Instead of a defined blush or eyeshadow placement, color was brushed on like watercolor—soft and diffused. On the eyes, warm tones like terracotta and brick complemented the indigos and blues seen on the runway. Meanwhile, warm browns on the cheekbones gave the features definition, and orange-toned blushes gave the cheeks a slight wash of color.
