Over two days, the Allure Beauty Lab brought the idea of “beauty discovery” to life, gathering over 2000 guests into an immersive ecosystem where beauty met education, creativity, and meaningful engagement.

Designed around a series of sensory experiences, the event transformed familiar beauty conversations into interactive moments that encouraged guests to explore, learn, and create with intention. More than a showcase of products, the first-ever Beauty Lab at SMX Convention Center Aura reflected Allure Philippines’ commitment to promoting responsible beauty content and mindful beauty consumption, proving that credible information and playful experiences can exist in the same space.

Day 1: Where beauty discovery began

The Allure Beauty Lab officially opened with welcome remarks from AGC Powerholdings Corp CEO and Allure Philippines publisher Archie Carrasco and editor-in-chief Rissa Mananquil Trillo.

“We created the Allure Beauty Lab around one simple idea: that the future of beauty content isn’t about validation. It’s about discovery,” Mananquil Trillo shares. “The most powerful content doesn’t just tell us what’s beautiful. They help us discover something new, ask better questions, and help us see beauty in a new way.”

Among those in attendance were Alodia and Chris Quimbo, LA Aguinaldo, Paul Nebres, Jelly Eugenio, Lourd Ramos, Sally Valencia, Yna Omaña, Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski, Jasmine Dudley-Scales, Carlos Yulo, and Chloe San Jose.

The journey began even before stepping inside the venue. Inside the Activity Center guests were met by oversized beauty installations from Pond’s, Cream Silk, Clear, Sunsilk, Dove, Maybelline, L’Oréal Paris, Skin Potions, Garnier, Dear Face and New Moon, offering photo opportunities before they even reached the interactive stations.

Through different booths, participating brands encouraged guests to become active participants in every discovery.

Acne solutions Filipino brand Posh Skin had a fun-filled booth where guests tried the brand’s colorful pimple patches, wrote encouraging sticky notes about what makes them feel confident, and tested their luck at a claw machine filled with beauty prizes.

Leading hair conditioner and treatment brand Cream Silk highlighted its Hydration Volume Salon Renewal Mask alongside its Repair Booster Treatments—Amino-Keratin and Amino-Collagen, giving guests a closer look at the products while rewarding those who completed a social media challenge with the chance to win exclusive prizes on the second day.

Easy-to-use makeup essentials brand POPP by Penshoppe showcased the newest additions to its beauty line through an interactive fishbowl of experiences. Depending on their draw, guests either explored the products firsthand or received personalized color analysis from The Lookbook.

Newly-launched and inclusive local beauty brand UpMake turned beauty shopping into an airport-inspired adventure. Guests checked in for “boarding,” posed for travel-themed selfies, and collected boarding pass-inspired keepsakes while discovering the brand’s lineup of 20 custom foundation shades thoughtfully developed for Filipino skin across warm, neutral, and cool undertones.

Futuristic beauty brand Time Phoria challenged attendees to put their eyes and memory to the test through a fast-paced matching game that highlighted the brand’s bestselling releases, including the Spectra Ultra Stay-Color Transfer Proof Lip Vinyl, Stellar Dust Lip Stain, Pandora Cheek Liquid Blush, and Orbita 3-in-1 Blurring Pot.

Meanwhile, global skin care brand Pond’s encouraged guests to discover their own “natural glow filter” through an interactive skin consultation. After answering a short quiz based on their skin concerns—whether acne-prone, oily, dry, sensitive, or normal—participants received personal product recommendations and explored solutions from the Sun Miracle, Hydra Miracle, Age Miracle, and Bright Miracle collections.

The Beauty Lab also created opportunities for guests to connect through shared experiences. One of the highlights of Day 1 came in the form of presenting the covers of Vol 4: The Global Beauty Issue featuring girl group KATSEYE, along with a surprise video greeting from the members themselves.

“For the first time in Allure’s history, Allure U.S., Allure Korea, and Allure Philippines came together for one global collaboration featuring KATSEYE,” Mananquil Trillo says, adding that this time around, the Philippine edition isn’t just adapting global stories but is part of its creative process. She adds, “This is the future of global publishing. Not one voice speaking to the world, but many voices building the story together.”

The event also marked the exclusive premiere of Allure Philippines’ KATSEYE videos, giving guests the first look at content created especially for Filipino fans. Featuring Filipino member Sophia Laforteza, the videos invited audiences to play along as members Megan Skiendiel, Lara Raj, Yoonchae Jeung, and Daniela Avanzini guessed the meanings of Filipino words, adding a playful and distinctly local touch to the event.

Between activities on the first day, visitors gathered over refreshments by The Black Box Mobile Bar, which served signature beverages including the aptly named Allure, a floral-sweet gin drink, a gin and basil smash, and a lychee martini, while Goodness Graze prepared an assortment of sweet and savory fare.

A beauty experience through the five senses

Beyond the Activity Center, guests entered a mini lobby featuring a photo wall with the biggest brands in Philippine beauty: Aivee, Sculptra, Vice Cosmetics, Cream Silk, Pond’s, Garnier, Maybelline, L’Oréal Paris, and Dove before continuing to the centerpiece of the event: The Senses Tour.

Designed as a series of immersive content creator hubs, each room explored one of the five senses while encouraging guests to experience beauty from a fresh perspective. “We believe user-generated content should be more than aesthetically pleasing—it should be useful, honest, and responsible,” Mananquil Trillo says. “We’re moving away from documenting beauty for validation and toward documenting beauty for discovery. The best beauty content today isn’t about making something look perfect—it’s about helping someone else make a better-informed decision.”

The experience began with Glow & Touch, where illuminated LED spheres responded to every touch, creating an interactive visual display.

At Spectrum Lab, developed in collaboration with AVOlution Inc., guests posed before interactive LED panels that transformed their portraits into vibrant makeup palette-inspired digital artwork. Inside Scent Space, visitors explored fragrances from Tadhana Fragrances’ Persona collection, including Rockstar and Scandalous, alongside selections from the Pause Collection.

The Soundscape Room offered a quieter moment, where Sony’s latest headphones paired calming acoustic frequencies with nature-inspired visuals to create an immersive listening experience. Completing the journey was the Potion Room, where Frozen Drip Manila served mango, strawberry, and lychee drinks, where guests could engage their sense of taste.

Before leaving, guests arrived at the Allure Beauty Shop, the final stop where every discovery came together. A roll of the die unlocked a curated selection of beauty finds from participating brands, including skin care brands such as Pond’s, Pret A Stik, Posh Skin, Hada Labo, makeup brands like UpMake, POPP by Penshoppe, Vice Cosmetics, and Kit&Co, hair care brand B/yond, body care brand Mirai Essentials, and fragrance brand Tadhana Fragrances. Participants also got the chance to take more unique photos at the Oki Receipt Photobooth.

Day 2: Continuing the conversation

The second day built on the excitement of opening day by shifting the focus from discovery to learning. Hosted by Marga Sayson, the Allure Workshop with Pond’s welcomed guests for a live demonstration on achieving a smooth makeup finish through skin care. Makeup artist Jigs Mayuga shared professional techniques alongside model and content creator Gela Macalalad, offering practical tips that attendees could easily recreate in their own beauty routines.

Participating brands also continued to engage guests throughout the day. At the Cream Silk booth, visitors who made a minimum purchase, captured photos at the activation, and shared them on social media earned the chance to take home exclusive prizes.

With the interactive booths, The Senses Tour, and the Allure Beauty Shop once again welcoming visitors, Day 2 offered another opportunity for both returning and first-time guests to explore the event at their own pace. Portman Coffee and Plain Sight were also present to give guests their much-needed caffeine fix and refreshing soda mixes.

“I’d love to see creators move beyond asking, ‘Will this go viral?’ and start asking, ‘Will this genuinely help someone?’ Mananquil Trillo reflects. “I also hope we see more creators embracing curiosity. The strongest creators aren’t those who claim to know everything—they’re the ones who ask better questions, consult experts, and continue learning.”
